What Causes The Feeling Of Pulsation At Peripheral Vision?

My peripheral vision will pulse. And I feel like I just dropped into myself from a dream (like the falling feeling) it s not synced with my heart it is at random. I have had a history with herion and marijuana. I m not sure if that is a possible cause or not. Not worried about it. Just curious.
