What Causes The Feeling Of Pulsation In Buttocks And Bilateral Hips?

I just got out of the bathtub and came to lie on the bed to cool down. I can feel my pulse in my buttock/bilateral hip areas. Is there a reason why other than maybe than maybe the water was pretty hot and it opened up the veins in that area more so than normal?
