What Causes The Formation Of Calcium Deposits In Head?

Recently due to a fall I had to go to the hospital for stiches on my chin. My face and jaws were hurting. I had an x-ray of my head and face to rule out any broken bones. My bones were ok but the doctor said that I had calcium in my head. I have never heard that. What is it? This happened in the Dominican Republic where I was vacationing. I did not yet have seen my home doctor. I am from New York.
