What Causes The Growth Of Polyp In Sigmoid Colon?

They just removed a 7mm polyp from my sigmoid colon. This was not present at all during my last colonoscopy which was under three years ago. They sent it out, waiting results. Isn t that a pretty quick growth rate? This is my first in my sigmoid, others have usually been in my ceacum
