What Causes The Implanon To Reach The Tip Of The Vagina?

I have had the Implanon since January, it seems as if it is getting closer to the surface and is closer to the insertion site. I used to have to palpate to feel it, now just brushing the skin with the back of a finger I can feel it. Is it still doing it's job in there and do I need to get this looked at?
