What Causes The Odor Of Blood Between Menstruation Cycles?

I am concerned since the end of October I have had 5-6 periods with PMS right before every one. I have had thyroid check and nothing wrong. I have had discharge that is heavier and smells like limburger?. Awaiting ultrsound results. I can smell blood constantly when I am in between periods
