What Causes Thick Clear Discharge From Eye With History Of Conjunctivitis?

I have been having a severe discharge from my left eye.I went to my GP he said that I had conjuntivitis and gave me eye drops to use for 5 days.That was 2 months ago,and now the discharge is back with a vengence! The discharge is of a thick cclear consistancy. It is getting worse by the day.
