What Causes Thick, Green Mucus From Nose In Large Amounts?

I am 33 weeks pregnant and for the last 3 of those weeks l had a severe cold. Through my three week recovery period my mucus was slightly yellowish but never an alarming color. Today, the first day I feel completely recovered, I blew my nose to have the darkest green largest amount of mucus come out of my nose in my LIFE. I blew my nose about six full blows, with each yealding LARGE amounts of mucus with no resistance. There was no stuffiness just free flowing GREEN goop. Never has my childrens' mucus been green like this green, never has my mucus been green like this. I mean we are talking OPAQUE, DIRTY PEAS, GREEN. What is going on with my head to be producing gunk of this nature?
