What Causes Thick, Sticky, Yellowish Discharge Post Cryotherapy?

i had cryotherapy for mild cervical dysplasia a week ago. a few days ago i noticed a bad smell, which my doctors nurse told me was normal. i then began to notice a thicker, sticky off white, sometimes light yellow discharge, that my doctors nurse also told me was nothing to worry about so they will not schdeule an appt. for me to come in. can someone please help me? i have been freaking out about this.
