What Causes Thick,white Vaginal Discharge?

hi doc i have white vaginal discharge its kinda really thick but i wouldn't say cottage cheese thick it has no smell to it and im not sure if this is normal its not really lumpy but sometimes when i look at my knickers it looks really thick and im not sure if this is bad or not im kinda worried. i get no pain or itching.
