What Causes Thirstiness And Stomach Cramping During Pregnancy?

I am about 6 weeks pregnant (I think), and I have had a miscarriage before (about 7 years ago) and also a history of gestational diabetes. I have a 14 year old daughter. I have had very little cramping but other than that no symptoms of pregnancy. And Ive been so thirsty so I ve been drinking lots of water. My question is, does this sound normal? The doctor won t see me until I m 10 weeks and I can t wait that long to ask questions. Please help. Thank you, Sonia.
