What Causes Throat Ache And Fever?

My throat has hurt since Tuesday. I had a fever for a day and half. I don t think I am getting worse my throat still hurts and I am getting more ear pain. I will take the war pain over the pain I had in my neck yesterday though. I feel like if it was strep I would be getting worse?
