What Causes Throbbing Sensation In The Wrist?

I have a sharp ish pain in my left wrist. it s not really pain but its noticeable. its around the middle of my wrist and it feels as though its throbbing. it comes and goes throughout the day. ive only noticed it for the last couple of days. im a female, 20 years old and have never had any serious conditions or disease.
