What Causes Tightness, Burning Sensation And Pain In Eyes?

I feel tightness in my eyes, burning sensation, pain in the back of my eyes, headache, and sometimes like salt is in my eyes. my general vision is a bit ok, although it sometimes appears like places are a little darker. I checked a local eye center and they told me it was a growth developing at its earlier stage. What do you suppose?
