What Causes Tightness In Throat, Intermittent Pain In Ear And Cheek?

Good evening- for several weeks, I have (at intermittent periods) suffering from a tightness in my throat and periodic pain in my right ear, upper portion of my right cheek. It almost feels as if I have fluid in it, but I have not experienced any discharge, etc. The tightness is somewhat hard to explain. I have no difficulty swallowing and my throat has not been sore (until yesterday, but I feel this is unrelated), but it always feels like there is something stuck. Any suggestions?
