What Causes Tingling, Pins And Needles, Burning Sensation On Foot?

I have constant tingling, pins and needles, burning sensation and extreme pain in my right foot, I have been informed that it is possible nerve infringement. I have had x rays for my foot and back and both show nerve issuEs. At present am taking armetriptlyn but my symptoms are not getting any better. please advise how i can best manage symptoms?
