What Causes Tingling Sensation All Over The Body?

this occurred for about 12 hours about once an hour yesterday. I could feel something trigger then my entire body would feel tingly, felt as if I was going to pass out and then I had a strange smell like a hospital. Lost time it seemed but I was also aware of what was happening. It has since stopped and I feel better today
