What Causes Tingling Sensation In Body Along With Weakness In Fingers?

A 22 yr old female friend who has had ME for perhaps a year tells us today that she has intermittent tingling of the whole right side of her body and has weakness in her fingers - so that she can t hold onto things and can just about hold a pen to write. The tingling has gone on for a year. Would this be related to ME? Or might there be something else explaining both symptoms.
