What Causes Tiny White Bumps On Nipples With Cracking And Peeling?

I have always had tiny white bumps on my nipples, but just the other day, the skin on my nipples started cracking and peeling. I am really worried. I tried to do some research online but I mostly get breastfeeding and I am not a nursing mom or a mom at all. Help?
