What Causes Torso Rash To An Infant?

5 month old given rice cereal 3 days in a row-developed torso rash on second day along with fussiness and lots of gas. Discontinued rice. Started pears to help him have a bm and he developed another rash on torso, back of legs and neck. Can you please tell me if this sounds like an allergy or something else.
