What Causes Ulcer In The Lower Gums And Lump Under The Chin?

I had an ulcer in the rightmost corner of my lower gums accompanied by a lump under my chin in the same spot that I am able to move around. The pain on that side went away but soon after, the exact same thing happened on the opposite side of my mouth and chin. If you could explain to me what this is that would be great.
