What Causes Unbearable Pain In The Arm?

i have a 3rd herniated disc, 2001 ruptured & surgery 2005 herniated and surgery and now the pain in my arm is unberable i've had steriods, antiinflamatory, PT, I work on a computer all day long and by the 2:00 I can't handle the pain. Is working on the computer adding to the pain? I do not want to have a 3rd surgery
