What Causes Unusual Taste In Mouth During Menopause?

I have been menopausal within the last 8 mos.,yet have been relatively healthy.By all checkups so far,my baseline bloodwork has been good. I seem to have an acute problem with a bitter taste(bad in general) in my mouth.Food does not always taste good,nor does water.Can hormone fluctuations cause this,or could this be something more serious?
