What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain?

Hi, I had a severe abdominal pain on my upper right side last night with back pain. I had it for several hours and it goes away after few hours. Right now, i'm still feeling mild back pain but no more abdominal pain although i'm still a little gassy. I burps a lot.
