What Causes Upward Shooting Pain In Neck?

ONE of the symptoms of neck pain similar to a kink or crick in the neck was ‘PAIN’ shooting downward, What about ‘PAIN’ shooting upwards with a split second sensation of blood rushing into the brain creating a feeling similar to the painful burning sensation you get when you accidentally inhale water while swimming?
