What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A Hysterectomy?

I am 55 yrs. old and have had a complete hysterectomy with removal of ovaries about 8 years ago. I am experiencing light vaginal bleeding, which I have had before. What could be causing this? I had breast cancer 10 years ago (lumpectomy/36 rad), none since. My mother, however (age 75) just had a mastectomy & it was triple negative (she had two first-degree aunts & a cousin who also had breast cancer). I just had genetic testing (won t know results for another couple of weeks). I guess I m just wondering if I need to schedule an appointment with my gynecologist or just wait a bit.
