What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Food Poisoning?

My friend had food poisoning, she has been sick all day and night, and her body isn't accepting any of the food she eats. However this morning she noticed she had vaginal bleeding, and asked me if this was normal? I thought maybe it could be due to the strain being put on her body? Please help.
