What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having Sex?

I had 2 ovarian cysts removed 4 weeks ago and my girlfriend and I had sex for the first time since the surgery and now I have been bleeding for 2 days since. It is not time for my period as I just had it a week and half ago. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
