What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

My question is that I've been celibate for about 10 months until this pass weekend and when had engaged in sex we had noticed that I was bleeding and I noticed that this has had before when I was coming off a celibacy of 2 years what can be the reason for this plus I've had normal pap smeared just recently from my gyn
