What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I have recently had a period and starting taking the pill again after a day of finishing my period and taking the pill i had sex with my patner. After sex i went to the bathroom and saw i was bleeding. I have no pain anywhere and it did not hurt. This has happened before but a while ago now. Been with my patner nearly 2 years
