What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I m 19 years old and have been with my boyfriend for six months. We just started having sex about two months ago. I have never been with anyone else before him and am also on the pill. Every time we have sex I start bleeding down there, sometimes a bit sometimes a little more. Is it a reaction to the pill or what?
