What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

Umm I was just wondering if there's a slight chance I may be pregnant? I had my period the 1st of this month. Since then my boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex 3 times. The 6th, 8th, and 12th. I was on the pill only for a week tho before I got sick and threw up..so I stopped taking the pill on the 10th. Started the pill on the 4th. Now I'm bleeding down there and it's been going on for the past 3 days and I don't know what exactly it is. My friend said it could be implantation bleeding. The blood has been a dark black color so I didn't think it was a period. Please help. Thanks!
