What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

I Have Not Been Taking Birth control and experienced a light period lasting 3/4 days althought there was some clots.... i came on 10 days early could this have been implation bleeding my normal period would have been due today and it has not yet arrived. please help
