What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Depo Shot?

recently got on the depo shot in December still continuous bleeding and since January the 5th and i was just wondering if there was something I can do you do in order to stop the bleeding or if there is something that I could do as far as not continuing with the depo or should I go on actual birth control pills
