What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy?

I just found out that I am pregnant I started to bleed on Friday my HCG levels were 6484. I ve been having back pain & cramping. I just took my other HCG test again today & my levels were 5345, it went down from Friday to Sunday. What does that mean I m I having a miscarriage?
