What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While On Levlen Ed Pills?

Hi, I take my active Levlen Ed pills at the same time every day, I have never skipped one. I am currently 6 days away from my sugar pills and I am bleeding, very red blood and getting small stomach cramps. I did skip my period the month just been (continued on with the active pills from a new pack) What s Ed this bleeding mean? Is my period early?
