What Causes Vaginal Clots Along With Abdominal Cramping During Pregnancy?

a friend of mine had ivf and is pregnant with twins. 2FET day 5. Yesterday she started bleeding and passed 3 clots with severe cramping. blood results say she is still pregnant with beta level 10000
and progesterone is a good level as well. What would be the cause of the clots? thanks
