What Causes Vaginal Discharge And Itching?

My Granddaughter is a virgin & has not started her period yet. She had a eating disorder when she was 13.Her parents put her in a special treatment center for eating disorders,she was there for 4 months.She dropped down to 70 lbs. & they had to put a feeding tube in her nose. She's now at a normal weight,&is a perfect student, straight A's, She also is on the track team & eats extreamly healthy.Now she has a discharge & an itch.Should I take her to aGYN Dr?
