What Causes Vaginal Discharge Of Blood Clots Post Intercourse?

After intercourse I noticed there were these dried up clumps- almost like blood cloRd. Dark brownish/red in colour. I was also bleeding lightly and my menstrual cycle is not due for another week and a half or so. I also have a Cooper IUD as a form of birth control.
