What Causes Vaginal Inflammation With Blisters?

I only have 1 sexual partner. With my recent menastration I started using a light fragrant pad. I had never used this pad before. After a couple days my clitoris looks inflamed and has what it appears to be tiny white bumps. I haven't had sex in a month and had my period twice since my sexual encounter. What could this be? It hurts and it looks really bad. I have a gyno appointment in a week but I need some assurance that this is not a STD.
