What Causes Vaginal Irritation And Sensitiveness?

My girlfriend has been having issues with her vagina being really irritated, red, and sensitive to touch for the past month. She went to the doctors and they took a urine sample to check for uti and chlamydia and everything came back fine. What else could it be?
