What Causes Vaginal Pain After Insertion Of Mirena IUD?

Hi, I had a laporoscopy for endometriosis on the 19th of April. Had a mirena put in too. Is it common to get pain from the iud when sitting? I ve had one before but it had to be removed because it was too big. My specialist (different from my first) said it may be ok this time as my uterus is enlarged and it may be able to cope this time around. Thanks K
