What Causes Vaginal Pain During Sex?

I have been with my boyfriend almost a yr and we have sex quite frequently but for the past few weeks my vagina has been really tight. The last few times we had sex he can t stick his penis all the way inside me and says it feels different and is painful for me. Just wondering why this is happening or if something is wrong with me?
