What Causes Vaginal Pain Prior To Menstruation?

hi,i had a miscarriage a couple of months ago.i never had pains in between period but now i m 11 days before my next cycle and i feel some pain around my left overt. My gyn says it s normal that i might be ovulating. should i be worried about this unuasual pain or could it be complications from the miscarriage since i had to have a d and c to remove the fetus
