What Causes Vaginal Spotting Along With Clots During Menstruation?

The day after my menstrual cycle was due i had very light spotting for 2 days and on the third day (yesterday) i had a redish/pinkish clot come out and alot of blood after that and today im back to almost nothing again. This is very irregular for me. Should i be concerned
