What Causes Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy?

Hi Dr Rynne, I am pregnant, less than a month, and I have been spotting yesterday a little. (light pink, which I looked up seemed to be normal). Today There is more blood and its bright red. I also have cramps (different than my period cramps, which usually are light). I still am nauseous, and my boobs hurt a lot, Im scared that I m having a miscarriage. I know only a doctor who examines me physically can tell me, but what do you suggest? is bright red blood ever normal or ok?
