What Causes Vaginal Spotting Post Menstruation?

I had my cycle about a week ago and yesterday after urinating when I wiped I noticed a little light color red on the tissue and then I wiped again and it was brown and that's how it was all day yesterday after every wipe a brown spot what can that be?
