What Causes Venous Nodule On Thyroid Gland?

Had a car accident two years ago. I was wearing a seat belt that hit just at my neck. I was hit on the left side and also head on. I dealt with radiculopothy (pinched nerve) in my neck. After 20 months, MRI showed a large thyroid nodule. Turned out to be a 8cm nodule on the right side that was mostly veinuous (blood). Did the accident cause the nodule? All blood work showed normal thyroid activity.... Just a large bloody nodule.
