What Causes Very Light Period?

hello dr. i have irregular periods usually skips a month between each menstruation. this time my period was delayed for tw o months. i took primolut nor 5mg twice daily for 5 days. 48hrs after stopping the medincine i got my period. but the flow is very light. does this means i will menstraute again this month? or the flow has no effect? thank you
