What Causes Vomiting After Taking Asthma Medication?

I had a fundoplication five years ago with great results for approximately three years. Then I developed asthma and started vomiting daily after taking meds for the asthma. I've already had another endoscopy and was told that the vomiting, asthma, and coughing are exacerbating the situation. I've been on a PPI again and I'm wondering if I need to have the fundoplication fixed.
